Senior Analyst, Payroll Finance

Details: Business SegmentStaffResponsibilitiesRole Purpose Performs the day to day tasks associated with ensuring accurate payroll financial reporting and integration of the payroll reporting activities with financial operations. This position maintains NBCU's financial integrity by ensuring compliance with SOX and other financial regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Perform various account reconciliations and related journal entries Create journal entries in alignment with transactions in the accounting system Reconcile multiple zero-net GL accounts Research questions from internal clients related to GL postings Monitor the posting of the FI file to NBCU accounting from ADP and work on resolving problems with the posting due to invalid accounting codes Monitor posting from SAP to SAP financials Supports review of GL File postings and correct department charges that do not post as needed and as instructed by supervisor Review payroll results and respond to questions from business unit controllers on postings to their departments Contact business units to set up new cost centers, provide correct cost center information in order for payroll GLs to post Collaborate with Business Integration Leads on Wage/Deduction configuration that charge departments - provide support and requirements needed Prepare schedules for timesheet allocation, accrual, and corresponding journal entries Collaborate with Timekeeper on charges to departments that come from the business units on the time record - provide support and requirements Monitor department mapping between SAP and ADP to ensure synchronization Payroll liability account reconciliations Communicate with Senior Manager, Supervisors, and other Managers, Department operationsNBC Universal is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer promoting diversity in the workplace.
