Business Intelligence/Commercial Analyst

Details: Large Telecommunications Company is in search of Business Analyst This opportunity will suit an individual who has strong analytical skills, modeling experience and has worked in a commercial environment with intense data mining and developing business cases. This individual will prepare ongoing in-depth analytics and work closely with Sales and Marketing to help grow the business.   Work closely with MIS in various local markets to gather business intelligence on all product lines; Perform modeling and analysis on products/budgets and forecasts including variance and trend analysis; Prepare weekly/monthly reports detailing product trends, forecasting, and make recommendations on promotions needed to grow the business; Ongoing market analysis of customer preferences, needs and economic trends; Develop ongoing analytics on customer profiles and business trends to help the commercial team fine tune their strategies to achieve revenue targets; Analyze budget and financial models to forecast future needs; Analyze project plans and product roadmaps to identify risks and create mitigation plans.   Number of persons managed/supervised and their positions:  None. Main Duties and Responsibilities:Reporting Preparation of weekly and monthly  business intelligence reports; Preparation of analytical reports for management review; Work with MIS/Data Warehousing to obtain relevant data for required analyses; Preparation of business cases; Ad hoc reports as required.                                                                                                                                                  Academic qualifications and experience required for job: q  Bachelor in Accounting or Finance;q  Previous experience in modeling, SQL, and building business cases;q  Telecom experience is preferred. Functional Skills: q  Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills;q  Strong mathematical and modeling skills;q  Excellent communication skills.  Internal/External contacts:q  MIS in local Markets;q  Distributors;q  Local Recharge Teams;q  Local Product Teams.
