Business Systems Analyst, QA Job

Details: In this role as QA BSA, in addition to the general BSA responsbilities, the individual's primary focus will be on the QA lifecycle of a project. This includes all aspects of QA planning and executuion, including but not limited to creating Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Scripts for Integration Testing, Functional Testing, and UAT; generating test data; executing these test plans and cases; documenting issues found during testing; preliminary investigation of issues and reporting of all data captured for an issue so that ultimate resolution is most efficient. The QA BSA is expected to be a leader and driver of QA on the project, assembling other BSAs and project team members in the successful execution of testing. This individual will also work closely with the technical team to support them in their unit testing of custom-developed software and integration of various systems in the platform.The QA BSA will gain a full understanding of the solution requirements, and tie all test cases back to the formal requirements document, ensuring that every system requirement has a set of test defined for it to validate it.Other general requirements of the QA BSA include:• Collecting and maintaining project documentation and ensuring that it complies with standards• Working directly with technical development staff to convey understanding of business requirements and to execute the test cases• Client interaction to answer process and functional questions as it relates to QA and testing.• Solution support, problem resolution, issue tracking, and change management• Support unit testing and drive/lead UAT of SOA-based business processes• QA/QC responsibilities include statistics gathering, comparative analysis, and trending• Operating within prescribed Project Management best practices and procedures.Background/Skills Required:• 3+ yrs in QA BSA role with client interaction/interface experience• Proficient knowledge of SQL and Oracle• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint) and text editor programs• Understanding of and/or experience with automated testing tools required; proficiency in such tools a plus• Expert in development of formal test documentation and folloiwng QA and software/systems testing best practices• Previous loyalty experience and/or Financial Services a plus.
