Sr Business Systems Analyst

Details: Senior BSA - Tempe, AZ Reporting to the Manager of Business Systems Analysts within the PMO, this position is responsible for providing a single point of contact between the Technology groups and several non-Technology groups within the company.  The purpose of this position is to provide a partner for the non-technology groups who can assist them in items such as helping to analyze complex business problems, helping to identify and document user requirements, and providing input to the evaluation and development of new systems/processes; helping with the entry of all project requests submitted by the business group into the project governance process; and helping to bring visibility to the potential interactions and reuse of various automated systems throughout the company. Key Job Responsibilities Establish strong working relationships with assigned non-technology groups. Gather and document business requirements that can then be passed to the Technology groups for eventual implementation. May take part in cross-functional linked teams to analyze business or system issues. Act as the interpreter between non-technology and technology groups regarding business requirements and system capabilities. Job Requirements Bachelors degree or above is required. Previous (5 to 8 years) experience in analyzing complex business problems, gathering and documenting business requirements. Exposure to a wide variety of project management methodologies, such as SCRUM, Waterfall and Iterative. Certification from International Institute of Business Analysts a plus. Expertise in documentation, presentation, and requirements management tools required. Expertise in MS Office tools: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, and Project. Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals with both technical and non-technical staff. Excellent skills in critical thinking and analysis, meeting facilitation, verbal and written communications, and interpersonal interactions (e.g., partnering, conflict management, mediation, etc.). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
