The Development Assistant will be exposed to a wide range of fund development activity including data entry, record upates, database projects, prospect research, donor acquisition, donor recognition, gift entry, annual fund segments, and major/planned giving activity. This is a full-time benefit eligible position. Consider joining our team in providing compassionate and high quality care and services within a caring Christian environment.EOEThe Development Assistant will be exposed to all aspects of fund development at the Presbyterian Homes Foundation. Activities and responsibilities will differ from time-to-time based on the Foundation priorities. Areas of activity and responsibility will include:Assisting with data entry and gift entry.Utilizing a donor/prospect database.Assisting with mailings.Participating in planning and implementing events.Identifying donor prospects through database research.Assisting with donor recognition.Analyzing donor and prospect data.Observing and learning the donor cultivation process.Assisting with Foundation funding applications.Participating in the Foundation operational and strategic planning process.Supporting development colleagues as needed.The Development Assistant will also participate in training focused on fundraising fundamentals. In addition, Prebyterian Homes provides career development and training courses related to general business skills and the long-term care industry.B.A. or B.S. degree required.Commitment to learning fund development.Documented history of academic achievement.Strong process and project management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Demonstrated leadership in academics, social, athletics, ministry, or other settings.Require at least 1-2 years previous experience in a full-time position.Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Commitment and interest in mission of PHS.
