Details: Business AnalystOfallon, MO 63368The business analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and manage business, user, functional and non-functional requirements in support of multiple business channels across a strategic work portfolio. The business analyst understands business problems, opportunities, and priorities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals along with identification and recommendations regarding interdependencies within a strategic work portfolio. The business analyst works closely with internal business, product managers, design teams, QA teams, development teams, project managers, and architecture teams. Majority of projects for this specific position will be related to Data Management strategic efforts. Other types of projects may range from internal business systems, intranet, Internet, and e-commerce systems. Key to the position is the ability to influence others with strong business and data analysis competencies as an individual contributor. Report team activities to project management, team management, functional experts, team members, and project stakeholders. Resolve cross-functional issues. Monitor and analyze product and project performance measures. Involve appropriate functional units to ensure a seamless project implementation.Qualifications: • Experience with projects relating to data management efforts including but not limited to the implementation of a Enterprise Data Model, Operational Data Store, Metadata Repository and Master Data Management • Strong understanding of relational databases • Experience performing data mapping exercises and data analysis activities • Strong ability to assess data impacts • Strong ability to read/interpret complex SQL • Extensive experience eliciting requirements during real time collaborative sessions with stakeholders located in different geographic locations • Strong interpersonal skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems; excellent teamwork skills • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong consulting skills • Strong customer focus and management of client expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence in the group • Extensive experience facilitating the development and documentation of use cases • Ability to present and explain project specific information and program strategic benefits to diverse types of audiences • Strong ability to define and document business and functional requirements, business process maps (“As-Is/To be”) flows and diagrams using a critical eye to uncover potential errors or misleading recommendations • Ability to identify and measure product and project performance measures • Ability to research, classify, and prioritize business, user and functional requirements • Strong ability to differentiate between functional and non functional requirements • High degree of proficiency in project management methods and techniques • Experience using a defined SDLC of commercial/business applications • Solid skills effectively managing multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment. • Strong organizational skills and ability to influence team dynamics • Ability to estimate work effort at project milestones for business analysis activities with progressively improved variance to actual effort as scope and requirements are refined • Ability to identify process improvements for the business analysis function and effectively lead/manage/communicate changes • Self motivated • Detail oriented • Experience mentoring junior business analysts • Must have some experience working with Mainframe, Client/Server, Web, and system architecture • Fluent knowledge of MS Visio, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent work experience with a minimum of HS diploma or equivalent required Successful Candidates MAY also have: • Knowledge of Mortgage business • Knowledge/experience using Blueprint or similar requirement management tools • Previous programming experience • Experience in varying software development methodologies including Agile • Knowledge/experience using iRise, Axure, or similar rapid prototyping tools for UI modeling • Familiarity with content management systems • Good understanding of interface design patterns and concepts Randstad Technologies is an EOE-M/F/V/D and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Randstad Holding nv, a $22.5 billion global provider of HR services and the second largest staffing organization in the world.
